Question re: Switching to Beds
For those parents who have bedrooms on another floor or not very close to DCs rooms, were you nervous about them being able to get out of bed at night after transitioning from the crib?
It's just hitting me now, we need to find a way to put a gate on the stairs to our bedroom, which won't be easy--it's a weird staircase. I guess we can close his door, but at some point he'll probably learn to open it. We could lock his room from the outside, but that makes me a little uncomfortable for some reason.
Anyway, ,what did you do to make sure they couldn't wander the house at night?

Re: Question re: Switching to Beds
for now, I have a child lock on the inside of her door knob so she cannot open the door from the inside. Hopefully, by the time she figures out how to do it, she will know that she is not allowed to roam the house. If not, I will put a child gate back at the end of the hallway where the bedrooms are
