questions about RE -UPDATE
We have been dealing with recurrent pregnancy loss-I had my son back in Aug. 2009, but have had a total of 4 miscarriages..three within 5 months. One of the losses was at 10 weeks and I had to have a D&C, one was an ectopic, and the other two were very early...
So, after my OB recommended we get evaluated, I met with the RE for the first time last Weds. She is sending me for blood work which I have to get tomorrow, and a sonohistogram after this.
Has anyone had this done? If so, can you share your experience? I am really scared...
TIA!! to all!
UPDATE 6/12-I had the sonohysterogram yesterday and it wasn't bad at all. Some crampng, but as they did the procedure, they did find a bump (not sure of medical term) on the inside of my uterus and they said they can fix it/should be a simple procedure (under anasthesia). Has anyone had this type of procedure before?

Re: questions about RE -UPDATE
Bump for update and question:
I had the saline ultrasound an they found an area on my cervix that was not smooth and they said it could be fixed and want me to have surgery soon like next month. I still havent met with my re after to get the work up results, but I am so nervous. Had anyone had this done before? They disnt say it wa a fibroid or polyp, just that it's in the area that the embryos want to typically attach themselves...
I am scared, and having mixed emotions... I've had a lot of losses and just wish it would end. I also feel like is this the fix I need? I know nothing is guaranteed..
Anyone else go through this?
Thank you!!

Re: questions about RE -UPDATE
Before you have any type of surgery, I'd make sure to speak with the Dr. so you are aware of what exactly is going on, what your diagnosis is, what they're removing, what specific type of surgery, etc.
If the Dr. mentioned implantation of embryos, I'm assuming he's speaking of the uterus. You mentioned your cervix as well not sure what they would've found with a saline sono as that's really for looking at the inside of the uterus as welll as the tubes.
Also the outside of the uterus isn't visible with a saline sono, do you have any history of adhesions or endo?
I've had two hysteroscopys done that resulted in a D&C and a lap to remove polyps and one to investigate scar tissue and endometriosis in the abdomen and outside of uterus and tubes.

Thanks for your response... I did mean my uterus.. They saw something on the inside I my uterus in an area that they say most embryos would implant themselves. I definitely plan to meet with the dr first to discuss as well... Thanks for sharing your experiences...
