Questions for c-section moms (maybe TMI)UPDATED at bottom
I am 5 1/2 weeks pp and thought I was recovering fairly well. After the surgery I had no real issues. Now in the last week, I have excrutiating pain when I go to the bathroom-not a bladder situation more of an intestinal/digestive thing. The pain goes from the right side of my belly button down by my pubic bone and up through by belly whenever I pass gas or go to the bathroom #2 (sorry TMI). Then this morning I woke up and my incision was slightly bloody in the middle which seemed to be pretty much healed as of last night. Any ideas or experiences like this? I'm planning on calling the Dr this morning.

Re: Questions for c-section moms (maybe TMI)
Hmmm... the intestinal/digestive thing makes me think that it's a gall bladder thing. A LOT of woman end up with gall bladder problems after having a baby... for me it was a little over a year when I had to have mine taken out, but for a friend of mine she was 8 weeks pp when she started having gall bladder issues...
As for the bleeding at the scar - do you feel like you are putting any kind of strain on yourself when going to the bathroom or anything to keep yourself from feeling pain? Not sure if that question makes sense - what I mean is like are you holding back things in order not to feel pain and therefore causing the incision area to start bleeding.
I hope everything is okay. Please call your doctor for peace of mind!
HUGS!

I don't think I'm really holding back b/c once I'm done (yuck sorry) the pain pretty much goes away and its sooooo painful I cant push too much. Its so weird..I've never experienced anything like this. And of course Dh is really concerned so he keeps calling me from work every half hour. We'll see. I'll be calling the doctor in a few minutes. Thanks

Re: Questions for c-section moms (maybe TMI)
I had my gallbladder removed and the pain was higher than my bellybutton. So it might not be that.
I am glad you are seeing your Dr. Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: Questions for c-section moms (maybe TMI)UPDATED at bottom
So I went to the Dr yesterday and for the first time in the many years that I have been seeing him, I was totally blown off. They did a sono and found nothing. I told the tech she wouldn't as the pain is not near or in my uterus and it was more digestive. Then when I was brought in I told the nurse everything. She knows me and knows that I'm not an alarmist. Then Dr. came in looked at my incision and gave me no reason for the bleeding. I pressed him some more for reasons and he gave me nothing. Since my normal pp check up is next week, he says "I'll see you next week to discuss your pain." ???? I asked him what he thinks it could be and he says its only been 5 weeks we'll talk next week. THen says "Your probably ovulating". Well, if he listened, he would have heard me tell him that I'm just getting over AF since the delivery and that is not the cause. So that was it. I walked out very frustrated and DH is mad. He knows I don't complain unless there is something to really complain about. So we'll see what happens today with the pain. I may call my regular dr. Thanks for all the hugs and concern!
