Questions for replacing an existing fence?
We need to repair most of our stockade fence - how much should we expect to pay? Someone once told me about $60 a panel for stockade fencing. Does that seem right?
Any recos on Eastern Nassau?
Also, since we're just replacing the existing fence and will not change the layout at all, we don't need any type of permit for this, right?

Re: Questions for replacing an existing fence?
DH just bought all the materials for replacing our fence! The 6x8 panels weren't that expensive, I'd have to ask him what he paid, but I'd guess around $30-$40 each panel. We are keeping some of the old posts, only replacing those that need to be replaced.
He will eventually install it if the ground ever dries up and we stop getting so much rain! He and my brother plan on doing it in one day. We only have it at the sides of our yard (the back isn't fenced, it's open to the wooded hill), so it's about 12 6x8 panels and a few 4' panels.
So I have no recommendations, but I will say we are not getting a permit for a replacement in kind

Re: Questions for replacing an existing fence?
I've replaced most of my fence, sections at a time, over the years. Plain stockade fence is relatively cheap. I never bothered with a permit, since I figured I was just "patching" the fence....
Just a very cursory glance gave this section at Lowes for about $35 for a 6'x8' panel
