Questions for those who plan on visiting family overnight after DC is born
My parents live about 3 hours away. When we visit them, we always stay for the weekend. My mom is trying to decide whether to get a pack 'n play or a crib for her house. I told my parents it's their decision, but I'm curious what other people are doing. If your or DH's family lives far away and you plan on visiting often, what will the baby sleep in? If your/DH's family is getting a crib, which crib will they get?

We are in CT and my parents are on LI- we will stay overnight at times- we plan on bringing the pack and play (or them just having their own at the house)

Re: Questions for those who plan on visiting family overnight after DC is born
I'm in NJ, my father is in LI and my mother is in FL. My sister had a pack and play that she kept at my father's house, which is what we'll use when the time comes.
My mother has one that she borrowed from a friend everytime my sister went to visit. Same will go for us. I'm only buying one which will stay at our house.

My friend has a house in PA which they go to frequently. They bring there pack N play with them when they go there. I don't think you'd need a crib.

Some of my mom's friends have cribs and some of them have pack 'n plays for when their grandchildren visit. My mom was torn about what to get. I told her a pack 'n play was fine, but she wasn't sure. I guess a crib may last longer b/c the pack 'n play has weight restrictions, but hopefully it wouldn't be much of an issue.

I would have them get a pack n play. It can easily be taken down and stored away.
