Quick help for a lazy mom

so, Luce just finished his intro round of carrots. everything I have made for him now is a BTDT and I need to give him something new.

but I don't want to go to the store. Chat Icon

would it be ok to start him on peaches? he'll be 6 months tomorrow.

thus far he's had

butternut squash
sweet potato
green peas
carrots
avocado
bananas
pears

I also have mangoes and blueberries.....

also, do you switch cereals off often? I am out of oatmeal, which I've been giving him pretty consistently...can I give him rice tomorrow with no worries?

Re: Quick help for a lazy mom

I started with fruits and then began veggies so I'm going to say yes to the fruit.

As for cereal, rice cereal constipates her so I stick with oatmeal and barley.

We have done peaches .. I think its fine since you've done so many so far and we switch cereals based on which one my hand grabs first, so I'm sure thats fine too.

We did peaches with DS at 4.5 months. It was something different. He liked them a lot. Rice should be fine. We have been alternating for a while now.

Re: Quick help for a lazy mom

Our ped had him start with fruit and I tried to give him every variety I could find (I am holding off on pineapple and mango since there are allergies to these in our family). I started him off with rice cereal but for some reason he was not a fan so I switched him to oatmeal. I just started feeding him meat ahead of scheduled but he has tolerated it very well and seemed to like the organic turkey with barley and apples the best so I think I might try that barley cereal when I finish this box of oatmeal. I asked my ped if there was any fruit or veggie that he couldnt have and she said they were all "fair game."
