Quick sterilizing question

Do you wash first then sterilize, or do you sterilize first then wash?

I just finished washing all of her bottles first then sterilized them... I'm trying to get the little stuff done first, then I'm going to tackle the nursery....

I'm just not sure the order. I figured that it would be 'cleaner' to sterilize the bottles in water where the bottles were clean.

ETA: In the order in which I prepped the bottles, is it bad if I don't rewash???

Re: Quick sterilizing question

The reason why I feel the need to sterilize out here (and why I won't put her stuff in the dishwasher) is because the water is soooooooo hard out here that it leaves a lime residue on things - even with the dishwasher... I feel like if I handwash it won't....

Oh the mentality....

Re: Quick sterilizing question

I hardly sterilized, but when i did a couple times, I washed then sterilized.
I had the Advent plug in sterilizer and the directions say to wash first then sterilize, so that's what i did.Chat Icon
