QUICK weight loss
i have 11.6 pounds to go until my ultimate weight loss goal. i would normally not want a quick option because i'm very happy with the way i've been losing weight.
i just have two big events coming up in may, and i would love to shed this last bit before.
hell, i don't even care if i regain and then get back on track with what i've been doing.
thanks for any pointers

Re: QUICK weight loss
Keto Hard to sustain long term because it's very restrictive on carbs and sugar- but you will lose fast on it if you can really commit out of the gate
Also note that when you are just starting a weight loss journey, you always will lose weight fast on ANY diet- because you are losing a ton of water weight out of the gate.
The fact that you have been dieting and are already close to goal will make it harder to see the fast pounds dropping off like if you were just starting out and at a less ideal weight

QUICK weight loss
I did Fat Smash and lost 9 pounds the first week. It's just not sustainable b/c it cuts out all the foods I like. It's basically fruits and veggies with no oil or sauce. Small amount of brown rice but not much else for carbs. I lived off of salads (had to be creative with dressing options), roasted veggies, and beans and rice. You can also look up Happy Herbivore - she's plant based with no oil.

QUICK weight loss
I normally wouldn't say this to anyone, because who am I to say, but I feel like you and I have been on similar journey and been working together on the board for the past year talking about our goals....
Will it really matter if you lose those 10 pounds? Don't risk spiraling yourself out of control or putting your health at risk. I'm sure whomever you will see at these events won't know the difference so don't put yourself thru it.
It's just a number. Don't let it control you.

I totally agree with this. I've been on WW for a while now, I lose weight slowly, but I am letting go of that weight I've been carrying for a long time. Yeah, I'd like to be down more before a wedding we have to go to, but that is only 1 day out of the rest of my lifetime being healthier and at a lower weight.

Sorry, I agree with this.
You think you'll just right back into your regular routine afterward but it often doesn't work like that.

Re: QUICK weight loss
Low carb (like Keto) although I could never do it! I have been losing (slowly) on WW.

Absolutely agree with this.
If you need a little extra kick start, take a look at what you are eating. Switch out a carb or 2 with protein or veggie per day. Even exchange an apple for some celery sticks. Those small changes will get your body going. But to do something crazy to lose it quick? It may make you go the complete opposite and put that + more right back on because of deprivation.

It will happen. It may take longer than you want, but you will get what you want if you keep up with it.
BTW, Please say this same thing to me when I'm close to goal and struggling.

I understand. I feel the same often lately. But I just try to push those feelings down and say "just do today what you did yesterday and stop thinking about it as it will happen when it is supposed to."
Looking at MFP, I'm at 647 days. In that time I can count the number of days I've gone over maintenance calories on 2 hands. 18 more pounds to goal for me. So I'm guessing August/September at this point. If I have skin removal in Sept/Oct then maybe I'll have help by the doctor (but I'd like to get to goal before then since I made this goal for me.)
To me, the mental part is harder than the physical.
