Quick...what would you do??? Update!!!!8/2/07
I need help making this decision fast! My mother and her sister and some other relatives are leaving for a trip to Italy, Greece and Turkey in August and September. I was asked to go when the trip was initially planned however due to the recent purchase of our house, was unable to go due to cost. Fast forward to today and one of the cousins backed out and my uncle asked if I wanted to go, he will pay for my trip. My mother is so happy about the thought of me going that she was in tears talking about it. (we are very close and enjoy traveling together) The problem is, I feel bad leaving my husband by himself for fifteen days. My MIL thinks I shouldn't go and my husband thinks I should not hesitate due to my mother's recent illness (she had cancer last year and has severe lung dysfunction) and feels that I may never get this opportunity to travel with my mom again to such a degree. the other issue was I was trying to bank all of my accrued time for maternity leave next year (we will be ttc in the fall). My husband thinks that I should take the two weeks now and we will worry about maternity leave when we are faced with it. I also have a very important doctor's appointment scheduled during the time we would be away, which is not life threatening if I were to postpone. I have to make a decision by tomorrow. Help!!!!
Update: I am going, cleared it with work and they are fine with the short notice. Decided that I should not worry so much about this... afterall, I was just offered a free trip to Europe for two weeks...why stress about that!!! 
My mom is so happy, she is beside herself.

have a great time...appts can be rescheduled...you will have an amazing time and IF anything happens, you can always cut the trip short...

I lost my Mom 3 years ago to cancer and I would give anything to take a once in a lifetime trip with her again
(I ditched college for 10 days my junior year to go to italy with her- and I am so glad I did)
Life is too short to pass this up!
