Raise?
In my "handbook" (which I signed off on when accepting my position), it states that a "cost of living" increase between 3-7% are given at every anniversary date.
Well my anniversary was in May, and I have yet to see this increase.
Its a small company (maybe 20 employees), and I am the "highest" level; above me is the owner.
The last 2 times I did payroll I have asked about my increase, upon entering all the info into the system. Both times I was told it wasn't done yet.
Last pay period I rec'd a bonus- which was announced to everyone. ($ amount and all)
Was the owner replacing my raise with a bonus???
How do I go about asking now for the 3rd time?
Today I left a note, asking a question about payroll, and at the bottom I simply said "is it possible for the increase to be in this check"
The owner and I have a good relationship, however he/she tends to get snippy when discussing $$$.
How do I handle this?

Re: Raise?
Were you ever told which percentage you'd receive?
If not, I'd just say "I saw in the HB it says between 3 and 7...which percentage did I receive?"
I'd phrase it in the past tense to make the boss realize that s/he is LATE.

Re: Raise?
tough call...
DH was supposed to get a review & a raise in January and finally got it 2 weeks ago! times are tough for a lot of companies...
he never said anything to his boss (also a small company) and wasn't singled out. everyone had to wait.
