My mom has a landscaper b/c she is not physically capable of doing it (no men in the house either).
At my apt. the landlord and her bf do the work.

I chose other. We have someone who cuts the lawn...then DH does everything else (seed, fertilize, clean ups, etc).

DH owns a landscaping business, so i dont have much to do with the lawn/gardening- but i do help when necessary- i like doing yard work.

We usually do it but this past summer we paid someone to mow the lawn. DH usually does all the planting etc. We use the lawnmower too to "rake" the leaves!

Since I do the landscaping.... I am working in a "smarter" way.
I "mow" the leaves.  They get sucked into the lawn mower. I can't rake all those leaves. My yard is way too big.
That's what DH does -- we have almost 3 acres, no way are we raking that!

DH does all the leaves with the lawnmower/tractor. It saves soooo much time and I never have to rake another leaf again!

Other. Lawn and all outdoor maintenance is taken care of by the homeowners assoc. We pay a maintenance fee each month (we live in a townhome).

This year we are raking our own leaves to save $$$ in case DH is affected by the recession. We do have a landscaper to cut the grass.

We did it last year, it took us forever, and I got blisters on both my hands.
We've done all the landscaping since we moved in, except for heavy tree removal. But we are going with landscapers this year.
Most of the leaves are off the trees on my property, so I have to start making those calls this week to find someone.

Normally, I do all the yardwork, but since the yard is in a complete state of disarray from the construction, I'm not dealing with it until the Spring....
