Random thought of the day as I commuted into the city...
If your toes hang off the front of your sandals and actually TOUCH the floor, I believe it is safe to say that your shoes are too small!!!  
I swear this woman's toes were touching the floor of the train because her shoes were too small. Ew!!!!

I saw this in the airport yesterday. A woman had wedge flip flops on and her big toe was hanging over the front about to touch the floor.

Well, this would explain why last week a woman on the train across the aisle from me decided to take off her shoes and proceed to clean her feet.
I never thought to look to see if her shoes were too small

Please, tell me about it. When I saw her doing it I had to turn in my seat and face the window the rest of the ride-while saying loudly "I REALLY don't need to see that"

My husband is totally skeeved by open toe shoes on the subway no matter whether the toes hang off or not. I hear about it every day in the summer. I never asked about the LIRR but I guess it is a little bit cleaner.
