Razr phone
Thinking of getting one but have heard mixed things... what are your opinons and why??

I have one and it took awhile to get used to (I used to have a LG).
I had to send it back and get a new one (which Verizon did for free) because it stopped recognizing the battery. 
That being said, it is pink and very cute!

My DH has it. It is vert slim, so he is constantly dropping it. I don't like it as the keys are so flat, I have dialed wrong numbers, many of times

I've had mine for about 6 months. I think it's cute and fun in the beginning but the design itself needs improvement I think.
I don't see anything wrong with it, in fact it's extremely reliable, durable and slim which is great to slip into the side pocket of my bag.
The design aspect for me would be a little more comfortable. I end up using my handsfree from Plantronics (excellent) anyway so I think it may just be me spoiled having to hold any phone by my ear.
I use a wireless headset at work too.
I still would recommend it but I hear some new phones are just on the horizon from Cingular that would be better than the razr.

i love it. i have mine with verizon. i just have to keep charging the battery. i know people with other carriers and they don't have that problem

We're starting to have problems with the battery too but not that it won't hold a charge - that the battery bars don't show up after charging. And then the phone starts getting weird, the screen blacks out, and I have to reseat the battery to fix it.
Other than that, the service isn't so hot (Cingular) but that has nothing to do with the phone. I'd rather go back to Sprint, where my calls were always clear as a bell. But I'm in a contract so.... Oh well.

I have 1 and got one for DH. I luv it . No Complaints- I have T Mobile and I luv them too. Never a dropped call.

Its ok, I think at the time I should of went with another phone. I got a case cover for it cause its so thin I was dropping it all the time. It also doesn't take pic's to good.

I don't have any battery problems or coverage problems.
If you charge your battery for longer than necessary, you are overcharging it and decreasing the capacity of the charge over time.
I charge my phone every two days or so for about an hr. I never leave it plugged in overnight. Just a little tip from the expert (DH does this for a living)

Danielle is on her second one. Her screen went, within 3 months of getting it. The batteries are horrible. They dont last as long as they are supposed to.
My RAZR is still going, but I have problems with the phone recognizing things that I do, like punch in a number, or hang up or dial...It takes time to do things on the phone.
My screen is also on the way out. It is starting to get grainy, and I am getting the lines across it that Danielle got on hers...
Also the battery on mine doesnt keep a charge for very long.
I would recommend getting a different phone if you can.
Check out
www.phonescoop.com and pull up your service and look at all the phones they offer, and also you can research the phone to see if it has all the attributes that you want, or dont want, and also read other peoples revies of the phones.

This is exactly what mine was doing and they gave me a new phone for free. Definitely bring it back. I think it is a defect!

If you're going that route get the Palm Treo 680 or 750 which comes out in November. Excellent devices.
