DH and I both have em. I haven't had any problems with it. DH is one his 3rd because of battery problems........

This is exactly what mine was doing and they gave me a new phone for free. Definitely bring it back. I think it is a defect!
Where did you go, and was it a hassle or did they do it no questions asked?

If you charge your battery for longer than necessary, you are overcharging it and decreasing the capacity of the charge over time.
I charge my phone every two days or so for about an hr. I never leave it plugged in overnight. Just a little tip from the expert (DH does this for a living)
I completely agree - this goes for all rechargables too.
A while back, my users were having problems with their laptop batteries - they were only lasting about a year. They aren't cheap either, but there were different "levels" of battery (6 cell, 8 cell) so I would get them the better ones but also advise them how to care for them better. Not letting it charge too long, only charging when the battery is almost dead, setting battery saving features like shutting the display off after a certain time period of inactivity, etc.

I like my Razr but hate the battery! I went into Verizon last weekend to have them check my phone and battery b/c my battery lasts 2 hrs sometimes (After being fully charged ). After checking my phone (it takes 4hrs), they told me my phone was fine and so was the battery. They said Razr batteries are horrible b/c they're so thin. But I could PURCHASE an extended battery for $60. I am so ****** at them. While I was waiting to pick up my phone, there were 4 people in front of me and ALL of them had Razrs and were bringing them in for the battery! I am going to call Verizon customer service directly to see what can be done. This is ridiculous!

I'm in the same spot right now. I'm due for my "new every 2" free phone and I don't know what to get.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the LG VX8300. If you buy the USB cable for $25, you can use a program called BitPim (free download online) to use the MUSIC IN YOUR COMPUTER'S LIBRARY as ringtones!!! And you can use the photos in your photo library as wallpapers!
As much as I'd like a nice thin Razr or Krzr, I think I like the reliability of the LG.
 Too many options!!!!

I have one and have no problems with it. I do think that some older versions have had problems with the battery, but I believe they since fixed that. My battery works great, go for a few days before I need to recharge (although I hardly use my phone!). My service is Verizon, which IMO is the best. I am asking for a leather cover for it though as a stocking stuffer because it is so slim, I am afraid of dropping it.

I have the pink one from Verizon and I love it. I don't usually have difficulty with the battery, unless I've really been talking a lot. I always charge my phone overnight.
My only complaint is that it has a slow reaction time when you select something from one of the menus.

My husband hated it he said to fragile .. He has the Krzr ...also 2 girlfriends have issues with them

I had one with Cingular and I hated it! I turned it in and got an LG one..... I could not hear anything on the phone even with the volume all the way up
eta- i didn't have a problem with the battery though
