RE recommendation
DH and I have been trying for 8 months and I am older, so it's time to get some extra help. Any recommendations for someone in Queens, midtown or western Nassau would be greatly appreciated.

Re: RE recommendation
My RE was in western Nassau but I would not recommend them...
I have seen a lot of girls on here have been happy with Dr. T and Dr. Wang at SIRM in NYC. I believe Dr. T has a long wait though for a consult.
Good luck!

I went to Columbia for my first. Was very happy. My actual Dr is no longer there but would see any of them. I'm going to LIIVF for #2 only because Columbia is no longer convenient for us.

I researched based on our IF issue. RMA was the best fit for us. They have an office in garden city and in Manhattan.

I have experience with 3 REs RS of NY- stay away!!!!! RMA- loved them but I needed RE who thought out of box ie. Immune etc. age and other things were a factor. garden city office and NYC were Great they just couldn't help me. SIRM- Dr. T- with them now.?not convenient at all but he's my last hope. Very methodical. Thinks out of box... Found immune issues...

Hi I was considering this office, do you know if SIRM take insurance? And do you have to go to the city for all the monitoring appointments?

SIRM takes insurance. You'd have to find out if your ins is in or out of network. All appts are in NYC on fifth avenue and 38th- very busy part of Manhattan. I take train to all my appts and make it work but it is stressful- especially being a teacher and it's busy time of year. But I have a wonderful supportive principal.

I have been so happy at Dr. Palter's office... Gold Coast IVY in Woodbury. I had success after IUI for my 1st and now we are trying for baby #2. If you have any questions about him or the office, feel free to ask. They have been wonderful!

I checked who took my insurance. Then I went on recs and ease of getting there. You spend a lot of time at the office. It has to work for you.
I am going to LIIVF next week and saw dr Braverman when I was trying to haven son. I would not rec him and can give you move info after my consult with LI IVF.

Re: RE recommendation
DH and I saw Dr Vidya Palta in Forest Hills. Her and her staff and beyond amazing. She always took her time with us and explained everything. We were lucky and our first IUI worked and now we're expecting in September. I'll go back to her in a heartbeat for #2 if I have to.
Also, if you have any fertility coverage (which we don't), she does take insurance.

RE recommendation
Hi. I would not recommend LIVF. I feel that they do not think outside the box. Dr. Brenner is known to mention donor eggs many times. You do not always see your dr. In that practice, many times a nurse will measure your follicles for ivf, not even a doctor. They call you with any changes to ur medicine protocol that day. With other practices, like SIRMand Braverman, they actually email or give you a schedule for ur meds. With LIVF, there were many times I had to keep calling in order to find out about my meds for that evening. I felt it was very factory like. You got whoever was on duty as ur doctor for retrievals and transfers. That turned me off very much. The transfer for the IVF is so important. SIRM with dr. Tortoriello was good. You do not have to wait long for ur appointment. I only liked Dr. T in that practice out of the doctors. He believes in immune issues wheras LIVF did not at the time when I went. braverman believes in immune issues. He will see u for all visits, but he has a different doctor in his Manhattan office do retrievals and transfers. He seemed to be preoccupied during my visits. I also noticed he treated his patients differently. I felt he was way more attentive to some of his other patients than others. You have to see what works best for you. Good luck.
