Reading to 1st grade class

DS's birthday is this weekend and the teacher invited me to come in and read Thursday (since school is closed Friday).

Was thinking of reading the Book with no pictures or one of the Don't Let the Pigeon books, but I already did that in his Kindergarten.
They did the Cookie books already. DS has a ton of books, but I don't want to ask bc it's a surprise.

Any other ideas the kids will enjoy?

I know it's been asked before.

I teach yoga to kids, I recently did a class based on the book, Do You Want To Be My Friend, by Eric Carle.

There are few words, a little mouse is asking different animals to be his friend. Each page leads in to the next with a "hint" of a tail. My kids loved guessing the next animal.

They also love, Giraffes Can't Dance.

Enjoy, I'm going to read to my DDs first grade class in June and I want to do a new surprise book too!

I just read who's on first which was a huge hit (they turned the comedy skit into a kids book and the kids loved it). I also read Jimangi which was also a huge hit.
