Ready to Scream at Doctor (Rant) LONG Update for Call Back
Got blood taken Monday afternoon for glucose, pcos & thyroid testing b/c my cycles are so out of whack.
Told the tests would take 48 hours to come back and I could call. I figured since I was coming back today at 9AM for my internal sono to look at my ovaries i would just wait so I could discuss my results with her in person.
Well......of course she is not there today, they tell me to call back later on and one of the nurses will go over the results with me so I gave it till 1PM and just called and they told me the nurse called out as well (this is not a small office either) and that I should call back at 5PM b/c they are going to leave my message with one of the other doctors in the practice to call me back b/c he has late hours.
I am starting to get the feeling I am not going to have my results until next week and I didn't really want to go the weekend without knowing something.
I am so disappointed.
Ok thank you for letting me rant I feel better now.
Update: So I was supposed to call back at 5PM and wouldn't you know it the office is closed. I left a not so nice message and I am definately going to give my doc a piece of my mind on Monday.

If there is a Dr there with late hours I am sure you will get your results!

the doctor on-call should definitely give you the results.. you shouldnt have to wait till next week.. i would call them back when they said!!

Call them this evening if they don't call you. Sometimes you have to be a squeaky wheel to get what you need....
They are probably just busy and dealing with people calling out- it's easy for things to fall by the wayside on a Friday afternoon, and to them calling you with results is not an emergency (though I know it feels like one when you just want to know whats going on with your body!)
