Real Estate School Online?
After much thought and deliberation I have decided that for the new year I am going to change my career. I am a certified teacher but the job market is awful as we all know. I am currently working as a retail manager but aside from the crazy hours and little pay I just truly dislike the entire industry! So after many discussions, hours of research, and a lot of soul searching I have decided that a career in real estate is a great fit for me. So with all of that being said….
I need to take the first step towards my new career and I need to decide on what school to go to for my licensing class. I would prefer to do it online. Does anyone know of any schools they could recommend? TIA

Re: Real Estate School Online?
the cheapest is LIBOR (long island board of realtors)
make sure you get the book- the questions from the state test are in the back of the book

I know nothing about the profession but I got an email about a livingsocial deal that had a steep discount on a class.
If you can't find it on their site, I can forward you the email if you give me your address.

Re: Real Estate School Online?
I used NYREI. I went to classes b/c doing it online, I would fail It's $395 + $40 for the book.
It was 2 weeks (Tues-Sat). They say the hours are 9-5pm but we never stayed that late.
The school test was easy b/c the teachers tell you the questions/answers. The state test is hard, took me 3 times lol.
Any questions, feel free to FM me.

Re: Real Estate School Online?
Thanks Sandy. I prefer to take the classes online so I can still work at my current job for as long as possible. I know I am a "good student" and have taken some online college courses in the past successfully so it shouldn't be a problem staying focused. Thanks for all of the info. The closer I get to jumping in, the more excited I become about starting my new career.
