Really annoyed! UPDATE!

UPDATE: Well, I called them this morning, and she said they could only cover $10 in repairs. I have to fax Anthropologie my receipt. The customer service woman was not very nice, and i don't think $10 will cover the ripped pocket. I'm getting it done professionally since I don't sew. At least it is something. But I kind of wish they gave me more or at least sorry that they send me a damaged item. I hate being disappointed with stores I like.

So I ordered these plaid shorts from Anthropologie, and the lining is ripped on one picket! They were on sale, and all stores around me didn't have ANY in stock so I had to get them online. Now they are out of my size. So I want the shorts, but I can't exchange them for a non-damaged pair. So I'll have to keep them and have them fixed.

I want to call customer service and complain. Do you think I should ask for some kind of compensation? They really shouldn't be sending damaged goods! Chat Icon

Absolutely you should call customer service! Tell them to throw you a bone...like you want 20% off your next order or something.

Yes, I would call and ask for something. I worked in retail for way to many years, and you will def get something from them. If not, use the old I want your District manager's number bit and watch how fast you will get it.

I had that problem once with ATL. They told me to get them repaired and send them the receipts. Then they sent me a check. Give Anthropologie a call!

Just someone on customer service. I'm not sure of her name. Do you think I should actually bring it to a store location and show them the damage? It's not just a little tear. It's like my hand can go through the entire pocket.

Yes, I think you should. I would go straight to the manager w/receipt in hand and explain to her the issue. Tell her you would like the credit back to your acct since they can not accomodate what you want. IF they dont, then ask for the District Manager name and cell. GL.


ETA: It is a "damage" to them, they will get credit for it no matter what. They will not loose money by giving you a credit. Just in case they should mention it.Chat Icon
