I'm probably the only woman in the world with this opinion, but after a ring goes over a certain carat, I feel like it just looks silly. Is 14 carats really necessary? haha.

I agree. I have a friend whose mom wears 6.5 ct rock. It looks silly and most people assume it is fake.
I think the anything over 3 is just too much. A beautiful high quility 3 ct in an elegant setting... that is as good as it get in my eyes.

Nope I agree.
It is overwhelming on the hand- especially a smaller hand.
It just looks ridiculous and to me, takes away from the beuty of the ring/setting.
It's almost like- look at me! Look at me!
I'm rich.
Yet it looks silly IMO

Nickelback founder and frontman Chad Kroeger has been ordered to pay his common-law spouse $25,000 a month following their separation.
Marianna Goriul took Kroeger to a British Columbia court for spousal support payments after their 6 ½ year relationship came to an end. She wanted $95,760 a month. Kroeger was willing to pay $10,000 a month. The judge locked him into $25,000 a month.
Kroeger’s income last year was stated in court as $9.7 million.
The court heard about the expensive lifestyle that the couple lived with expensive food, wine, private flights, hired helicopters and limousines part of their daily life.
The judge awarded Goriul the $25000 because as part of the settlement she has be awarded the family pet and a $5100 a month pet care cost.
The couple met in 2002 before Nickelback became famous. Together they purchased a $2.5 million home in Canada and a sizeable house in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Goriul will take Kroeger to court again in August to determine her share of their assets outside of Canada.

Don't like her. Never did.
As for the size of the diamond. Not my style at all. It took me a few years after we got married to even get an engagement ring to match my wedding band.
It's just not my thing.

WTF does a pet need for $5100/month??
For the rings over a certain carat,I think anyone could get used to a huge diamond. I've never heard of anyone trading their ring in for something smaller.
