Really dumb question about height/weight percentiles...
How do they work? Is it better to be in a higher or a lower percentile? I have no idea how this works.

They really are just a measure. 50% is average for children at the same age. Below that is below average and above that is above average for size and weight. It doesn't make much difference if they are above or below- only that they continue gaining and growing.
