Really Good News.... And Bad News...
The Good news is..... I FINALLY had my Shower this passed weekend!!! My sister and Mom surprised me,and even my Grandma came up from Florida to be there!!!
I though my Shower was going to be after the baby showed up since I'm due in 2 1/2 weeks.... My Mom is soooo superstitious and didn't want to do it early....
I got so many nice things, and the cake one of my Good friends ordered was absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I'll post pics soon!
It was a Great day!!!!
Now....The Bad News....
My DH lost his job today.....
On one hand... it couldn't have happened at a worst time since I'm due soon....
On the other hand... He wasn't going to get much time off when the baby arrives, and I didn't want him taking time off when I was in the Hospital, so he could be home with me and the baby... But now he'll be home.....
I guess it's bitter sweet... But now he has t look for a job...

about DH I'm so sorry, I'm sure you don't need that stress. But yes, it must be nice knowing he'll get more time with the baby now!  I'll  that he finds a job soon!

Congrats on the shower!!! and sorry to hear about your DH's job. On the bright side he may be able to spend a little bit of time home with you and the baby which may wind up being a good thing for all of you.

my dh lost his job when DD was 6 mths. old & i was on maternity leave....i know the fear and sadness you are feeling! at the time i thought it was the worst thing ever and in some ways it was BUT...it turned out that having DH around DD was the best thing that could have happened. he got to have a large part in really taking care of her. if he'd been working he would never see her. it really bonded them. that was the true silver lining. it also made our relationship stronger too b/c we had to get through it and we did. i won't lie, it took 7 months for him to find a job, but he did. and thats what matters. your DH WILL find something. in the meantime, perhaps he'll get to help you a lot once your DC arrives.

and I feel your pain for the lay off...DH is also laid off from the union and it doesn't seem like things are picking up yet we are going on a little over a month and I am freaking but I guess try to think if it as maternity leave for him right now!
