I just called and was told it wasn't determined yet if we are to get one.  Has anyone not gotten one? I thought I saw a list and our town was eligible.

I was starting to think we weren't getting one this year, but then the $500 check showed up on Saturday. Didn't see the envelope, DH opened it.

From what I was told by my accountant, if your school district was under the budget cap, you will get a rebate check. They calculate the difference between the passed budget and the cap, and divide it among the school district taxpayers.

No envelope, it was the actual check sealed with the tear away sides.

Islip residents should be receiving checks in the next week or so. Not sure if all residents of W. I get at the same time.

Everyone's will be different. It should be for the amount your taxes went up in 2015. My amounts actually matched.
I see these checks at work every day and they've been ranging from around $200 - $1300.

I called and the house we have STAR on (we now rent out and bought a new home) is in Middle Island and I was told it should be mailed out within the next 2 weeks and they could not provide me the amount.
