recess lighting

What type of lights did you buy and where did you get them?

Since my closing keeps getting cancelled I need to occupy my time before I vomit or harm something.

We got ours from lowes...the brand Halo. DH installed a total of 21 of them over the course of 4 days.

We also put them on dimmers for the bedrooms and our den. We mainly did this bc we have a DS, and instead of just turning the light on full blast to see, we can use the dimmer so he won't wake up and not go back to sleep. They are also beneficial for creating 'mood' lighting

If you do dimmers, make sure the light bulbs you use are dimmable.

great tip! OMG i would of never thought of that and I like that since i really can't stand harsh lighting at times.

I would look at HD or Lowes. You can get nice ones for not a crazy amount of money. A lighting store will mark them up a lot. We have them on dimmers in our apt and I love it.

I was actually thinking about you today and wondering if you heard anything about your closing..... for your closing to happen very soon!!!!

thanks, we were scheduled for monday but no one told the sellers (of course), then scheduled for today but no one told the TOB lawyers and they were off today and everyone thinks tomorrow is a wash, so we hope for thursday.

The utilities are in our name starting tomorrow as well - ugh.
