Recipe for cooking meatballs in sauce

I'm going to make sauce this weekend. Does anyone have a recipe for meatballs that I can cook right in the sauce (no frying/baking before).

Thanks.

Just make regular meatballs and plop them in the sauce, the key is to simmer them in the sauce for a long time. Yummy.

For 2 28oz cans of tomatoes & 1 1/2 inch meatballs how long would be enough? 45 min?

I'd cook them in the sauce all day. I bake mine first and they still go in the sauce for at least 3 - 4 hours. Without cooking them first, I'd simmer them in the sauce even longer.

I bake mine first too.

I find that they don't cook as well even if you simmer them in sauce for hours. They always seem to be a little on the raw side when I put them in uncooked.
AND I cook my sauce all day

i really don't think it's a good idea to put raw chop meat into a pot of sauce..
you should atleast brown them lightly...
