Recommend a good grill pan

Since it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to grill outside anytime soon Chat Icon I would like to get a good grill pan. Anyone have a favorite?

Thanks. Good price and I like that it's oven safe. When I make steaks, filet mignon, etc... I like to sear them then finish in the oven.

I had this pan and found it hard to clean. It was ok at first but I had to get rid of it.

I prefer cast iron (although it is heavier). I don't typically finish in the oven.

I have the Paula Deen 2 burner Cast Iron Grill pan and it's good, double sided with flat side on the other.

Re: Recommend a good grill pan

Stupid question but will this get same results on an electric flat stove? We wish we had gas.

I have the square calphalon contemporary. It works well, cleans easily, and is also oven safe. I usually just use it for burgers/ turkey burgers and occasionally steaks. For a filet, I sear in a stainless skillet and finish in the oven.

I have a heavy cast iron one and every time I have tried to use it my house smokes out and alarms go off...is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have an all clad grill pan and a cast iron skillet. I actually use the cast iron skillet much more.
