Recommend a vacation spot in the Carribean please

My hubby and I want to sneak away for a week before the baby is born. We'd like to go in mid-July when I will be about 16-18 weeks along. Problem is we can't decide where to go. Someplace with a relatively shorter flight time as I don't like the idea of being up in the air for 5 or 6 hours. Any suggestions??? Every place looks so nice online, but I'm afraid of ending up in a dive. Any help would be appreciated!

You can't go wrong with Turks & Caicos. Atlantis in Bahamas is also a short flight. I prefer Aruba but you are looking at a 4 hour flight. Happy planning!Chat Icon

We went to the Riviera Maya, Mexico on our honeymoon and LOVED IT!!! We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso and I highly recommend it! Pricing was very good also! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

We went to Aruba on our HM and stayed at this amazing resort called Bucuti Beach. So private, and very relaxing.

We went to Atlantis in the Bahamas and it was great. Definitely a little pricey, but they tend to have good deals if you sign up for their email list.

Bermuda is a very short flight (Right off the NC coast) and its a beautiful island!
July is a good time to go too- it's too chilly to go there in the winter.

It IS a bit pricey though!

We went to the Atlantis in March for our babymoon! They still have a great promotion going on, buy 3 nights, get the 4th free and I believe free companion air! Look into it on their website! Happy Planning!!!

I've been to Aruba 6 times already and can't wait to go back. It's everything you need...perfect beaches, perfect weather, no crime and AMAZING food with no worries. Although the flight time says 4 hours, I've always made it there and back in 3 1/2 because of the tradewinds. It's worth it even if the flight does take 4 hours... Happy planning!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Aruba. I want to go back so badly. Flight is only 4 hours. We stayed at the Hyatt which is pricey but they have other hotels that are all inclusive.

Atlantis is wonderful too and the flight there is a little over 2 hours? Expensive though. I also went to Sandals in the Bahamas. Nice but still prefer Atlantis.

ITA... just crashing, but we did our babymoon there. Have a timeshare at the Marriot.
So nice! Good food, shopping, etc. Plus, it's a family spot Chat Icon

I was going to suggest Bermuda too. It's not the Caribbean but basically the same, and you can't beat that short flight!
