Recommend your Apartment Complex

Currently we are renting a 1 bedroom co-op in N. Babylon. We will have been here for three years come October and have been much happier than renting an apartment in someone's home. Currently I am pregnant and so we will be looking for a new place to live. We will want at least a two bedroom and they must accept cats. A w/d in the apartment would be a HUGE plus. We are looking in the 1500-1750/mo range. Oh....a pool would be nice too! (We have gotten spoiled where we are!)Chat Icon

Please recommend your complex! TIA!

Re: Recommend your Apartment Complex

We used to live in Holbrook at Saddle Rock apartments..we had a 2 bedroom, washer/dryer, pool, gym, playground and even a small movie theater (never used it though - so cant tell u what it was like lol)..they also had storage units on the premise you could rent..the rent for the 2 bedroom was in the range you posted. We were pretty happy there, it was a good place for us to start our family..hth

eta - you can have cats there too, forgot that..hth

Re: Recommend your Apartment Complex

Are you interested in moving to Hauppauge? We lived in Stratford Greens (off Vets Hwy/454) for 2 years and had a pretty good experience there. There's no w/d in the apartments, but there is a pool!! And they allow cats but you pay a little extra for it.

Let me know if you have any questions!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Recommend your Apartment Complex

Saddle Rock, as mentioned above, is a beautiful complex with a lot of amenities - washer and dryer in the apartment, gated, gym, pool, movie theater, clubhouse.

We are at Somerset Village, and are very happy here, but being from the area I am sure you know there are really no amenities. The convenience to the parkways, walking distance to the park, great maintenance and security, and size of our apartment is what keeps us here.

Re: Recommend your Apartment Complex

there are apts in massapequa, i forgot the name of htem though, on merrick and carmens mill road... i lived there once ...apartments are OK.
They have pool, allow pets (at an extra fee) laundry is in separate building outside of apts (in the building i was in at least).

Don't know how much $$ anymore.
