Recommend your car seat
My DD is growing out of her infant carrier and so it is on to the next. She is 8 months. Is it a convertable car seat I need next? What kind can you recommend? TIA!

Re: Recommend your car seat
we have the britax marathon in cowmooflage... ds was in it early (2 months) and he loves it... we actually just drove up to buffalo and he slept all 8 hours in it so it must be comfy

Re: Recommend your car seat
The convertible seat is next--you should set it up rear facing initially.
We have the Britax Blvd. which I recommend if your DC is big, either in height or weight. DS is long, and when we sat him in a marathon in the store, it looked like he would outgrow it very quickly.
He LOVED the switch. His infant seat had become too confining I think.

Re: Recommend your car seat
we have a marathon and a diplomat (britax) and I prefer the marathon but I don't think DD minds either way. carseatdata.org may help you pick one too.

Re: Recommend your car seat
Convertible car seat comes next after infant carrier. We have 2 Evenflo Triumphs and love them. Rear facing to 35 pounds (at 16 months we still have him rear facing) and forward to 50 pounds. Very highly rated for safety by Consumer Reports and not as expensive as other seats out there. Image Attachment(s):

We just purchased the Marathon and I believe it is actually similar in size and holds the same weight capacity as the Blvd. Maybe you are thinking of the Roundabout?

Re: Recommend your car seat
We have (had) Boulevards. DS was 6 before we switched him to a booster seat, and DD will be at least 6 as well. Plus, the Boulevard has the true side impact protection.

You are right, I am thinking of the Roundabout. All these names get confusing! But we do have a Blvd., that much I know.
