Recommend Your Car Seat "TOY" attachment

I just started putting my infant in her big girl car seat...I got the Britax Roundabout. I need something attached to stimulate her. I tried the take along arch toy thingy and it doesnt snap on right. Anybody have this seat and can recommend a good attachement or toy advice to use to keep her busy at her seat?

Thanks

We give DS a few little hand toys that he can hold. He falls asleep in the car so we just keep it light with one or two little toys that he can hold and keep himself entertained

NO attachement should ever be made to a seat. It is dangerous to attach anything to a child seat. You can give a hand held toy, but nothing for the seat.

The seats are designed to move and react to different crashes in different ways. If you were to add a toy, that toy can impede the proper functioning of the seat, leading to serious injury.

Also, the item attached can become a projectile or a hazzard that would hit the child, or another passenger in the car.

We use this. It has toys attached to it and we also attach links or anything else that I think she will want in the car.

Fisher Price makes it. It's part of the rainforest/Precious planet line.

NOT SAFE!

Nothing should be placed between the child and the seat. This product is considered an after market product that should not be used. This product pictured is directly in line with the harness system, as well as is betweent the child and seat. It should not be used.

I have something similar to this, but in more "boyish" colors. Mine sings "shoo fly" over and over and the baby can make it sing by hitting it. I love mine. Got it at BRU

Won't a hand-held toy be just as much a projectile as one that is tethered to the seat?

We just went through the same dilema!! My DD has been in the Roundabout for 3/4 weeks and she has been getting bored very easily.

I ordered this yesterday: Car Mobile You can then hang toys from it so they don't fall to the floor.

I also bought this last week: Fisher Price Monkey I wrapped the tail around the head rest on the back seat so it hangs down and my DD can reach it.

Re: Recommend Your Car Seat "TOY" attachment

The car mobile looks nice, but again, you have to ask, will it hold up in an accident?

As far as a hend held, you are correct, it can be a projectile. The main problem is that nothing can be attached to the seat.

This is a dilema of sorts, but as previously stated, nothing should be placed on the seat.
