Re: Recommend your coordless house phone
We have the Panasonic DECT-6 phones. There are all the combinations from 1 handset up to 6, I think.
You only need the base plugged into the phone line. The other phones just have a charging base.
Reception is awesome, and I can go to the end of my neighbor's yard and still use the phone.
One of the best features is you can block annoying phone numbers. If someone calls you, and you don't want them to anymore, just add their number to the "blocked" list, and it will never ring again.... Chat Icon
They can also tell you verbally who is calling. The phonebook is shared among all the handsets. Our old cordless phones had a local address book for each handset, which was very annoying.
The handsets also have speakerphone, which is very useful. Now, I don't have to take the phone away from my head to look at the keypad to "Press 1" for the automated systems.

Re: Recommend your coordless house phone
We have Uniden phones in our house. They have upgraded their models since we purchased our phones, but we have a base in our office where the voicemail is located and then we have base phones located in each room of the house.
It sort of looks like this:
We highly recommend them! Only the base needs to be plugged into a cable line/modem/phone line. The bases just need to be plugged into an outlet and they're all connected.
We can also page each other in the house using the phones instead of shouting.
You can access the voicemail from any phone as well as the address book.
