Recommend your Orlando hotel
Looking for something kid-friendly, reasonable, maybe a suite setting (would like to set DS up in his own area so we don't have to tip toe at night). Doesn't need to be on the Disney property since we'll probably just go to Disney once. Looking to go in March. TIA!

Re: Recommend your Orlando hotel
I went to Disney in last April and stayed off property. We stayed off property due to my DH's work conference. I stayed at two hotels while in Orlando. I stayed at the Gaylord Palms and Downtown Hilton. The Gaylord was nice but very much a corporate hotel. My children were pretty much they only kids there. It is definitely a convention hotel. Rooms and amenities were nice. Also charged a resort and parking fee.
I like the Hilton better. I enjoyed the Hilton due to extra magic hours. We definitely used this bonus. I believe the Hilton is one of the few off property hotels to have magic hours. No cost parking and children eat free. They have a character breakfast which was nice. The rooms at the Hilton was ok. I had a junior suite and but was not really impressed. But I also have hotel issues. It sounds like this room might work for you.

Re: Recommend your Orlando hotel
We use our timeshares when we travel to Florida. Our favorite is Orange Lake ( we own there.) There are a lot of pools and a few restaurants on the premises, but you have to like a big resort feel- you have to drive to most things in the resort. We almost weren't able to get that one this year and I found the Sheraton Vistana looked pretty nice and got decent reviews. And it's not as big and spread out. If you look on Expedia, they are starting to do timeshare rentals which would give you a lot more room than a standard hotel room.

We own our timeshare in the Sheraton Vistana Villages and it's really nice. We've stayed at the Vistana Resort as well - it's nice but, not as new.
