recommend your washing machine
I think it's time for a new washer... Would you recommend (or not) yours? I want to hear the good, the bad, and anything else about it!
I'm open to traditional top load and front load washers. I don't feel strongly either way about that. I want a good, long-lasting brand. I don't want to go super-high end and don't need anything "fancy." I do, however, want a large capacity and good quality.
Any recommendations?

I have whirlpool duet steam front loaders
They work really well, and have a sanitize feature that works amazing ( i have a dog) and he has accidents.
I know the company is very good, we have kitchenaid appliances (same company) and they have been so helpful with replacements and very good customer service.
We also got 10 year extended warrantys

I have a Kenmore Elite He3T. Not the highest model, but the biggest they made at the time (4.0 cu ft) and it's a front loader. No issues at all. With 4 of us, I somehow manage about 15 loads per week No issues at all.

Re: recommend your washing machine
Thanks! I think 4.0 cubic feet would be enough... We're smaller than that now, and I just want something a little bit bigger.

Re: recommend your washing machine
We have the Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer. The washer is a top loader. I really like it and I can fit both my summer and winter comforter in both.
I didn't want to deal with all the hassle of having to leave the front loader door open after I do a load of laundry in order for it to dry out so there is no musty smell.

Re: recommend your washing machine
I have a Fisher/Paykel top load - I personally hate the front load washers - It's one of those energy / water efficient ones. I love it - It's huge, the ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is that the spin cycle is a bit noisy b/c it's got this 'special' way of spinning out the clothes to get almost all of the water out (or so the guy told me......)
I don't know about the 'special' spinning, but I can tell you that the clothes are spun practically dry which gives my dryer a lot less work as well ........
