Recommendations for a Pediatric Neurologist or a Developmental Ped
Hi I am new here and read a few older posts about this topic. My son is a very bright 1st grader who is having behavioral problems which are getting worse lately. School is recommending getting him tested for ADHD. Does anyone here use a ped neurologist or a devel. ped? And what is better? I am not sure what to do or who to see. I have some names of both kinds of drs but would like input. Thanks for taking the time. It's much appreciated.

MorningCuppaCoffee had someone she was happy with, you can try messaging her.
I took my son to a Developmental Pediatrician that I would not recommend (Silverman).

Try the Dept of Developmental and Behavioral pediatrics at Cohen's.
It takes a few months to get in for the initial appt. but once you become an established pt I was told they will see you anytime.
DS was just diagnosed with ADHD mixed type.
He's only 5 and hasn't starting Kindergarten yet so we are not doing anything much except working on the behavior.
We met with a Dev Ped.
