Recommendations for Lake George?
We are looking to do a road trip to Lake George with a 2yo and infant this summer.
Can you recommend places to stay and fun things to do?
What are your favorite kid friendly restaurants?
Great Escape Lodge sounds promising.

There is a free fireworks show over the lake every Thursday night starting july 4th week. It is a great show. There is sooo many things to do, we have been going for 32 yrs.

Can you watch the fireworks from anywhere on the lake?

Re: Recommendations for Lake George?
My parents just booked a place called Depe Deans. My dad has a boat and they have docks there, they also seem to have a pool and a little playground area. We've never been there before but from the pictures it looks like a typical upstate "resort"!

Its not Lake George but about the same distance in PA is a place called Woodloch. It is AMAZING and so well suited for infants and toddlers. They have EVERYTHING you can think of. Indoor/outdoor pool with a toddler area. A playroom for the kids. Characters at breakfast/lunch/dinner. So much more. I took my 20 month old there last year and it was the best vacation I have ever been on. There is a lake also, where you can go on boat rides, they have a huge slide that goes into the lake, which your 2 yr old is prob too small for but you and your DH will enjoy it.
I used to go to Lake George with my friends family when I was a teenager, every summer so I have experience with both places.
I just have to recommend Woodloch to everyone, its awesome.
I have some pics in my album.

Re: Recommendations for Lake George?
We stayed at the Fort William Henry Resort in the fall.
It was nice. We were only there for 2 full days and didn't do much out side. The boat ride around the lake was nice.

Love, love, love Woodloch. We were there for a week in December and last week for a few days...even off season, it's amazing and a lot more affordable! We're going to Lake George in July and Woodloch in August! We always save the best for last!

My sister, her family, and all inlaws have been going here every year for like 20 years. They love it!
