recommendations for short vacation near holidays?

dh and i are looking into planning a short --- probably 4 day, 3 night vacation around the holidays for just the 2 of us to get away. our preference is somewhere warm and beachy .we would like to keep costs down as much as possible.

we're talking about places on the coast in FL or in the carribean

any recommendations on specific places to go? or the best websites to look at package deals?

if you are crazy like we are...what about Hawaii.

the airfare is pretty good, the weather is awesome, and you may be able to get a nice deal on hotels.

we went in December of 06 for 3 nights, 4 days and had a BLAST.

yes, it IS far. but when you are on a mai tai high, it doesn't hurt as much

otherwise, I'd check out one of the St. Islands (Maarten, Lucia, Croix, Thomas etc) or Martinique, Monserrat, Turks and Caicos.

most of my vacations with dh are 3 or 4 days long. bahamas, aruba, las vegas.
