Regarding NT scan and AFP test
So as some of you may remember we got abnormal results from the NT scan and then had the maternit21 test done with thankfully came back negative. After that I still had the AFP test done at 16 weeks...my doc said "everything came back normal with the exception of the increased risk of downs which we knew" After I talked to him I started to worry- the results of the maternity21 test trump those results right??! Or is like there is still a risk?

I honestly do not know. However, IMO a lot of doctors are alarmist and always want to cover their bases. Therefore, if he says not to worry, then try not to. Good luck

Their website says they have a 99.1% detection rate. The other tests the dr is doing I believe have a bigger margin for error. If I were you I would think the dr is covering his own bases due to liability. Try not to worry, though I now how hard that is.
