Re: Regular Flu Shot
Nope. Have never gotten one and haven't had the flu since 1999, so I'll take my chances....not a big fan of adding chemiclas to my body now that I have so many fertility issues.

Re: Regular Flu Shot
It's a really bad idea not to.
Your immunity is depressed when you are pregnant (to be able to handle fetus)...which puts you at higher risk of getting the flu... and getting a more serious form of the flu (thus the outroar about H1N1). Pregnant women consisted of 7% of the people who died of H1N1 so far.
Any type of infection and fever during pregnancy is being shown in new studies to have BAD consequences on baby.
Just ask your doctor.
I got my seasonal flu shot a week go. I'm going to get the H1N1 as soon as I can. Hopefully before I get pregnant.

Re: Regular Flu Shot
My RE did not tell me to get one. I have never gotten the flu shot, so I don't feel I should start now while trying to get pregnant. Definitely not doing the H1N1 even if the RE tells me to. Too new a shot and I am worried that we don't know enough about it. But everyone has to make a choice that they are comfortable with.

I got the flu shot once and I was sick that whole winter. I will not do it again.

Re: Regular Flu Shot
There was actually a sign up in my RE's office saying it was safe to get while in the stages of cycling and in the early stages of pregnancy. That said, I won't be getting it

Re: Regular Flu Shot
I want to get both the reg. and swine flu. While any vaccine has risks, I think getting the flu especially the swine flu (which can be deadly), is much more of a risk. If I don't get pg this cycle I am definitely going to get it. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
