Repeat c-section: When was yours scheduled?

For those of you who had a repeat c/s and it was scheduled, for when did your doctor schedule it? A week before your due date? On your due date?

Also, when in your pg was the decision made? I'm trying to plan my maternity leave dates.

My c-section was scheduled on the 23rd (I went a day early) but I was due on the 28th. I found out when I was scheduled in the 7th or 8th month.

2 weeks before I am due.

My office will not schedule you earlier than one week prior to your due date, they want to give the baby enough time to "cook" in there.

I was so anxious to schedule my date, but we didnt do it until I was around 34 weeks. Good thing we did because I specifically wanted South Nassau, I am due 11/30 and the best they could do was 11/25, they book up really quickly!

mine was a week before my due date.

I'm not due until June, however, was already told I will be scheduled a week before. We will schedule it in my 8th month.

Mine was scheduled for my due date--only because I was interested in a VBAC (which didn't happen). I was notified of the date somewhere in my 8th month. If I have another baby, it will be scheduled a week before the due date.

I had mine 10 days prior to my due date and I scheduled it the day my OB confirmed my pregnancy. Stony Brook books up so fast!

I spoke to my dr about this yesterday and she said that I will be having the c-section a week before my due date.

my dr. is scheduled to take DD#2 out 8 days before my due date. i have GD and they typically only schedule a week before (another day for me doesn't really matter and we did it this way because i wanted a specific dr.).

My c-section was scheduled a week before my due date...and I'm shocked that I lasted that long..I swear I thought I was going to go sooner..but my dc just wanted to hang the belly till the end..

I was told 7-10 days before my EDD.

This was on my questions list for my next apt (at what point is it scheduled?)

My OB said 7-10 days before my due date but 10 days brings us to a weekend ( which they don't do scheduled C's on) so mine will be 7-8 days before and it was scheduled at my very first OB appointment

My Dr said she would schedule it as early as 10 days before EDD if I wanted to commit to a repeat c, but since I want to try & go VBAC, she scheduled it for my EDD since she will not let me go late.

Before I got pregnant my OB asked why I had my 1st section - b/c although I did go into labor on my own and my water broke on its own at the hospital - but I never got past 7 cm, DD flipped sunny side up, she didn't descend much and my contractions weren't very strong (most likely b.c I had excess fluid for a while during my pregnancy) - so he said I wouldn't be a good candidate for VBAC (which I didn't want anyway) - so when I got pregnant he said he will schedule me for my section at 39 weeks (and he does them on Wednesdays). So the plan is to be scheduled for that date - but since DD came at 38 weeks and was large - he said this baby will be larger so the bean might come earlier than my scheduled date so I would just go straight to the hospital if I go into labor early and they will section me immediately.

Mr dr. told me she'd schedule for a week b4 my due date. She already had the front desk book my c-section (for the first week in May). I'm only 14 wks.

My Dr told me by law you have to wait till 39 weeks unless there is something wrong and the baby needs to come out.

My Dr told me in April that he would do my c May 5th, and I went into labor that morning, so I had Todd Jr on my actual date!

I was due Oct 15th and was scheduled for the 10th. They scheduled me in August.

I am due Dec 10th but have scheduled the C-section for Dec 5th.
