Replacing Doors & doorknobs (inside)
We painted all our moulding white, but the doors are stained. We could paint them white to match for now, but we would like to replace them (they are all old doors).
I think every house I've lived in has had old doors.. I don't even know what new doors look like.. Think new doors really makes a big difference or better to spend the money on 1 of our MANY other projects...?

We plan on replacing all the doors in our house as well. I think it does make a difference.

Re: Replacing Doors & doorknobs (inside)
i think it makes a difference too. definitely makes the house feel fresh an new. we could definitely use new doors, but for me I would rather spend that money on something else. i painted the inside of the door that faces the room the same color as the room, but the outside (facing the hallway) we are going to leave the dark color it's painted. DH wants to sand and refinish, but he's very lazy with projects so we'll see when that gets done! If you have some extra cash I would get new doors!

We have old doors too. I like that they're solid wood - none of that hollow fiberglass stuff so common in new doors. So we're in the (sloooow) process of sanding and restaining them to make them look better.

Fiberglass?.... not for interior doors. Many of them are literally mostly cardboard.....

Thanks!
Anything I should look for or steer clear of for new doors? I'm assuming to stay away from the cheapest choice..

if they are solid doors - i would sand and replace if you like the style
if you want a different style or hollow stores i would replace
if you like the white look get the pre-primed doors - they are meant to be painted and you won't see crack as wood shrinks and expands

We replaced all the doors on our interior. We had the old wood/steel frame doors and we bought Solid Core MDF
Before: Don't be jealous of the beautiful mural that came with the house

Doors can def make a difference.
I always replace the doorknobs if they aren't my style. Makes a huge difference.

we just replaced every door, and changed the style from a plain flat door to 6 panel and it makes a HUGE difference.
