Replacing windows - help!
Please recommend your company to replace windows!!
We have a bow window in the front of our house that we are looking to replace, as well as a window in two bedrooms. We got quotes from three different companies: - one was a company who uses their own manufacturer (vinyl) and quoted us $4000 for all three windows & install. - one who uses Anderson windows and quoted us $8000 for windows and install. for all three - one who ONLY quoted the bow replacement with an Anderson for $13,000!
I hate this process and feel like I'm getting ripped off at every turn. We are willing to pay a price for quality but with these varying quotes, it's impossible to feel like I'm getting an honest opinion. Help please!!!

We just put in an Anderson wood bow window and a double hung window and the material alone was 4k. Did not include the install and stain and moldings bc we did it ourselves. So 8k for a bow and two other windows with install and finish work really isn't outrageous to me for an Anderson....
The price did also include the roof thing over the now window.

We use this person: Joe 631 774 8457
Sorry that is all I could get from DH, LOL. We have used him for 3 years in a row as we have been replacing windows. Does great work and very fair prices. Did our front picture window so can handle bigger jobs.

We replaced two windows over the winter and used Tri-State Window Factory and we were very happy with them.

Thank you for responding! When we got our first super low quote we didn't really have any point of comparison so the $8k quote is looking more realistic to us now as well. When the latest person quoted us $13k for just the bow unstained, etc I just felt blown out of the water. I'm glad to have other feedback to compare to.

We used Anderson directly and were very happy. Maybe contact them directly instead of a company that just uses Anderson windows?

We used Sears years ago because they had great prices with a fantastic warranty plan

Wow, that seems expensive to me I got a quote for 5,000 for the whole house. I work in the industry and would call Timmy at USA Home Exteriors 516-313-1043 tell him Dana sent you. A bow window is on the expensive side but I'm sure he can get you a better price.
