She had adopted a puppy, got it vet care and tried to acclimate him to her home and other pets, but it was not working out. So she gave him to her hairdresser who has two little girls and another dog. The puppy was thriving in his new home and the girls had bonded to the dog. The rescue org. called Ellen to see how the puppy was doing and she told them what had happened. Turned out she violated a contract she had signed, she didn't know she couldn't give the dog away, she was supposed to contact the rescue org. if she was having problems with the dog, so they came and took the puppy away from his new family. She was very visibly upset by this - actually sobbing. It was very sad to watch.
