Republican leaders are blaming Pelosi for the demise
of the bill. said she made a late speech that poisoned potential votes.
the dems are saying it's the republicans fault.
it's so ugly.
"and remember, we are not in the majority"
they are holding the transcript of her speech in front to the screen.
they are LAMBASTING her!

how can you go back into a room after just telling the American people "Nancy pelosi and the democrats are the reason the bill didn't pass b/c they are too PARTISAN"
and expect to work together like ketchup and fries?????
its not going to happen.

Uhm, wasn't it a group of Republicans that held up the bill last week in the first place? Maybe there were legitimate concerns, but don't turn around today and blame Pelosi.
The Repub. party really disgusts me at the moment--sorry if I offend any Repub. here, not you guys, but the people in Wash DC. I'm not thrilled with the Dems all the time either.
And what is our Repub. Pres. doing while all this is going on? Probably the same thing he has done the past 8 years, nothing.

this is so disgusting....unreal that instead of focusing on getting a 2nd vote together, or fixing what's wrong with it in order to get it to pass, they are pointing fingers at each other. Pelosi didn't get us into this mess, she wasn't the one standing around doing nothing for the past 8 years and letting the financial sector go unregulated. what kind of image do these people think they're giving to the American people when they give press conferences like that??? of course the markets are going to take a nosedive, there is ZERO confidence in these lawmakers.

BUT this is NOT her fault.
People need to stop the blame game...they are only doing this because this is an election year for a lot of the House.

Exactly! And McCain jumps on this as a political opportunity to help his election, rather than trying to work with Repubs to come to an agreement? This alone tellls me he is not a good leader. Doesn't surprise me though--he tends to point the finger for things he is actually guilty of often.

I have to say, Pelosi has kept the gloves on.
even after hearing what the minority leader and the WHIP said about her.
she's not much of a speaker, but I am impressed with the way she is handling things.
