Residing with asbestos shingles
Did you remove the shingles or go over them?
If you went over them who did you use?

i believe our house had asbestos shingles before we bought it. they resided over it. residing helps add more insulation and i think it is very expensive to properly abate the asbestos.

Residing with asbestos shingles
we have them under our current vinyl siding. It gets expensive to remove them and with asbestos unless it is airborne then its harmless. Changes are if you r house has asbestos shingles it was built at a time asbestos was in everything. Most has such small amounts anyway it wouldn't cause an issue.
