Restaurant recommendations in the city for 50th bday dinner
My parents rarely venture out into the city. My mom is turning 50 next month and the immediate family wants to take her somewhere nice to dinner. Bear in mind though that my 21month old niece will be with us as well because my mom wouldn't consider it a birthday without her grandchild.It will be 8 adults and one child
I'm thinking Serendipity for dessert since its touristy and cheesy

Le Mela is really good...
But if you're planning on going to Serendipity for dessert, there's a great Italian place across the street -
Patsy's - 60th
You can also always eat at Serendipity, if you're having a full meal you can make a reservation. I don't think they take reservations for just dessert. You have to put your name on the list in person.
