restaurant.com--how does it work?
anyone ever use it to order a gift certificate? it says it's a $25 gift cert for $10---is there a catch?

no catch - just make sure to read the fine print on restrictions. Also, if you go on slickdeals.net they ALWAYS have coupons for thiings like 60% off restaurant.com
ETS: So for examples for Bliss it is minimum $50 and two entrees. Buy it at 60% off for $4 bucks and get a $50 meal for $29 +tip!!

I LOVE that website!
We try to use them at least once a month and always end up saving $$$. I only buy them when they have a 60 or 70% off sale.
Some of the restaurants have started doing 'cash only' when you give them this certificate- I guess so they don't eat the % fees incurred by using a cc? 
Anyway, I highly recommend the site.

I use them all the time. I only order certificates when they give the 50% or more off codes.

i went today to the polo lounge at westbury manor to celebrate my second wedding anniversary before DS comes. the gift certificate was great and dinner was outstanding! we stood outside and watched the peacocks high up in the trees for half an hour. one of the tail feathers floated down to us so we took it to put in DS's room.

no catch, just read the fine print, some restaurants won't let you use the certificates on holidays or weekend days. If you do a google search for restaurant.com coupon codes there is almost always a code to get a good percentage off

The restaurants barter the website design for the coupons.
I use them all the time.
It's great if you are going out of state also. I bought them for my grandmother in Florida.
