Restaurants in Garden City or Nassau (S Shore)

About 8 of us are going to dinner Fri night and looking to make reservations at a fun place for all of us. I was thinking Waterzooi, but me and another girl are pregnant so trying to stay away from fish or sushi restaurants.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ohhhh go to waterzooi anyway - I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and I go there all the time and did so when pregnant with DD too - it is okay to eat mussels since they are cooked - but if you want to avoid them - they have really good cheese fondue, salads, chicken, meat dishes and desserts!!! I still highly recommend it. I definitely wouldn't avoid it just because you are pregnant.

On Franklin -there is the place next door to waterzooi (same head chef) - Novita
There is also Calegros on the other side of the street.

I highly recommend West End Cafe in Carle Place (off of Clinton/Glen Cove Road) it is a really great place - but make a reservation if you want to go there.

7th Street is okay but it used to be much better than it is now.

Asian moon.

The orchid if you like chinese is nice - it is very popular on weekend nights.

If you tell me what kind of food you like I can make some other suggestions.
