Retrieval today-Transfer update 2/6
Went in for my retrieval today. I had 8 follicles and they got 8 eggs. They did ICSI with all 8 eggs (originally they were going to do half but I wanted to re freeze my last vial of sperm if it was possible so they switched to ICSI for all of them). It was an easy procedure and I have felt great today. They will call tomorrow with the fertilization report. Praying that at least half fertilize. Will update tomorrow.
Update:
Nurse called with the results. 7 out of 8 were mature, 4 made to emryo she said. Transfer Saturday.
Update 2/6:
Had my transfer today. There were three emryos left today. One was grade B and two were grade C. All three went in since they weren't great quality and I'm 39. at this point I'm not feeling too great about things. I don't have any embryos left for a future frozen transfer and the ones put back today weren't so great. I think at this point it'll be a miracle if I get pregnant- but miracles do happen so for the next two weeks I'll be hoping for one!

Thanks everyone. Yes it will be a three day transfer of up to 3 embryos depending on their quality. When do they tell you the grade? The day of I'm guessing? I'm eager for that info but I know that a lot can change by Saturday.

my coworker who was trying for her 2nd child years ago, did 7 cycles..YES 7 fresh cycles b/c every time she had nothing left to freeze. The 7th cycle that worked she put 3 back, not so good quality and gone one.
even the dr's were hesitant to transfer them.
so honestly, you never know!!

Good luck! Try to stay positive. Some perfect looking ones don't result in a pregnancy and some not so great ones do. You just never know. Sending lots of sticky vibes your way!

I think it was a good decision to put all 3 back. You seriously never know. One of those C's could make it. B is good quality! I think I heard somewhere that it is rare there are any A quality so Bs and even Cs make it happen too! Fingers crossed!
