Have the car detailed and make sure it is totally clean.

This would be good but it really doesn't matter. My car could not be washed before the lease retun because of the fact that I just had the windshield replaced and it does not matter. I would repair anything that you know you will be charged for ahead of time. Besure to return all sets of keys and any thing else the care came with! And look for the title b/c in NYS you are the title holder with leases!

Just make sure the car doesn't need any repairs..the tires have at least 1/8 inch tread. there will be some room for normal wear and tear and scratches. If the car is over mileage you will get hit unless you are leasing another car.

I'm returning my Honda tomorrow. All keys and repair records and the manual. The car has had some body work done and looks perfect so Im not worried. I used to detail the cars before turning them in and it's a waste of time and money.

Dont get the car detailed - Its a waste of money. Danielle and I just recently returned our 06 Kia Sportage and it was filthy outside. They just inspect it for dents, scratches etc on the exterior, and rip and tears on the inside. If the car is in good shape then do not worry about it, also if you are over your mileage you will have to pay....depending on what they charger mer mile.

Dont worry about it....
