Rice cereal in bottle
I have to start putting one tsp of rice cereal in DS bottle (4 oz) becasue of acid reflux.
Do I need to change the nipple on his bottle?

It depends on the bottle. Some have "y" nipples for cereal

Kristina was having it in her bottles since she was 2 weeks old, and I NEVER changed her nipples.
The only time that I changed them was when she started collapsing them b/c her suck reflex was stronger than the nipple would allow.
Which bottles are you using?

DS was diagnosed with Acid Reflux this morning and we were told to put 3 teaspoons of cereal in each of his 4 oz bottles. I tried to give it to him through the "slow" nipple using the Playtex Drop-Ins but he was having a hard time sucking. So, I moved up to a level 2/medium sized nipple and he has had not problem at all. I watched him for choking but he seems to be fine.

we use oatmeal cereal in DD's bottles. Since we use Dr. Brown's bottles we started using the Y nipples and it made a huge difference. I tried cutting the level 2 but it didn't work. The Y ones are great!

We had to change from a slow flow nipple to a variable nipple which has a y-cut on it. We tried going to a medium flow and it was just too fast for DS.

I am using the drop ins, we used the medium flow nipple and he seems to be doing ok on it. I think he actually likes it bc he was smiling a lot during his feeding
